Bulk actions on the Members page
Select multiple members on the Members page and act on the whole group at once — send invites, set their Toggl role, or set billable and labor cost rates.
From the Members page, admins can select multiple members at once and act on the whole selection, instead of opening each row's menu one at a time.
Selecting members
Tick the checkbox on any row to select it, or use the header checkbox to select the page.
Your selection carries over as you page through the list, so you can work through a roster page by page and then act on everyone you've picked at once. Changing a filter or your search clears the selection, since the people it included are no longer on screen.
What you can do with a selection
Send invites
Sends an invite email to everyone selected who hasn't joined yet. Members who've already joined, and deactivated members, are never emailed — so the number shown on the button is the number of emails that will actually go out, not the size of your selection. A popover explains how many are being left out and why.
This also reaches anyone with a pending invite, not just people who were never emailed — Toggl can't currently tell the two apart, so it resends the invite rather than risk silently skipping someone.
Set role
Sets the Toggl role for the current workspace for everyone selected. The organization owner, deactivated members, and people outside this workspace keep their existing role; the popover shows how many were skipped and why.
If the change would remove administrator access from anyone in the selection, you'll see a warning with the affected count before you can commit it, and the button turns red.
Set billable rate and Set cost rate
A rate is a schedule, not a single number, so this runs in two steps: you enter an amount and a start date, and every selected member is checked against their existing rates for that date.
If any of them collide, you choose once for the whole batch — leave those members' existing rates alone, or replace them.
Access
The bulk action bar is admin only, the same as the individual row actions. If you don't have the required permission, that button doesn't appear.
