Pomodoro timer

Pomodoro is still available in Toggl. It is not a separate feature or a separate page — it is one of the timer modes you choose when you start an active timer on the Timer page.

Timer modes

  • Count up — the default. The timer starts at 0:00 and counts upward until you stop it.
  • Countdown — set a duration before you start, and the timer counts down to zero.
  • Pomodoro — work in focused intervals separated by short breaks. The timer runs through a work session, then prompts you to take a break before the next round.

Starting a Pomodoro session

  1. Open the Timer page from the Timer icon in the left navigation bar.
  2. Type a description into the timer bar, and add a task, project or tags if you want them.
  3. Select Pomodoro from the timer mode control, in the timer bar between the billable toggle and the duration field.
  4. Start the timer.

The timer runs your work interval, then prompts you for a break before starting the next round.
