# Shortcuts in Toggl 2.0

## Toggl 2.0 has keyboard shortcuts for every core action. This guide lists every available shortcut, grouped by what you are doing in the app.

 

You can do almost everything in Toggl 2.0 without touching your mouse. Keyboard shortcuts let you create tasks, start and stop timers, jump between views, and enter Focus mode in a single keystroke. Once you learn the basics: `A` to add a task, `S` to start tracking, `F` to focus, you will move through the app significantly faster. Press `?` at any time inside Toggl 2.0 to see the full shortcut list. This guide breaks them all down by context so you can find exactly what you need.

 

**Task creation**

- Type `A` in Inbox or Calendar view to start creating task inline 
    - add a title to your task, then `+` to add a project name,
    - set priority with `P1`, `P2` and `P3`
    - `type a date` to add a due date
- type `command + enter` in MacOS/`ctrl + enter` in Windows to open the task modal
- type `command + enter` in MacOS/`ctrl + enter` in Windows *again* to save the task and close the modal

Dismiss/Cancel — Esc

**Time tracking**

Start time-tracking — S

Stop time-tracking — S

Enter Focus mode — F

Switch between Timer and Log time mode — *M*

Open the project/task picker from the timer bar description — **+** or **@**

**While in Focus mode**

Start counting up timer — U

Start counting down timer — D

Start Pomodoro — O

Open Pomodoro settings (when Pomodoro running) — OS

**Tasks**

Create a new task — N

Create a new task inline — A

Import tasks — I

Save and close task modal — ⌘↵

Delete task immediately — ⌥click `'delete task'`

**While editing task title in task modal**

Pick a project — +

Set a priority — P1, P2, P3

Set a due date — enter date

While editing inline task

Save inline task — ↵

Open task modal — ⌘↵

**Calendar**

Jump to today — T

Duplicate time block — ⌥ `drag time block`
