# Toggl Partner Program FAQs
### Joining the Program
**How do I become a Toggl partner?**
You can become a Toggl partner by applying to the Program [here](https://dash.partnerstack.com/application?company=toggl&gref=page). We review applications within 5 business days.
**Are there any joining fees?**
No, there are no joining fees. Entering the Toggl Partner Program is completely free of charge.
**How is the Toggl Partner Program different from the old Affiliate Program?**
It’s more than an affiliate program, it’s built for a wide range of partners, not just traditional affiliates. From creators, bloggers, and comparison sites to agencies, consultants, educators, community builders, integration partners, and more, with flexible ways to earn and grow.
**Do I have to be a Toggl customer to become a partner?**
We’d love it if you used Toggl (we offer a generous free plan and a 30-day Premium trial), but it’s not a prerequisite for joining the partner program.
**Where can I find my tracking link?**
Once you've applied [here](https://dash.partnerstack.com/application?company=toggl&gref=page) and received confirmation that you’ve been accepted to the program, you’ll be able to find your tracking link in the partner platform dashboard. You can log in to your existing account [here](https://dash.partnerstack.com/handshake/login).
**Can I customize my tracking link?**
Yes, our program allows deep linking, so you can send referrals to any page on our website or create your own campaign UTMs.
**Can I join other partner programs while in the Toggl Partner Program?** Yes, you can join other referral/partner programs while you are a Toggl Partner. While we’d love to be your go-to time-tracking option, we don’t forbid you from promoting other time-tracking tools.
**What are the Toggl partner tiers?**
There are 2 Toggl partner tiers. You join the Toggl Partner Program as a Toggl Partner and can grow to a Toggl Ambassador once you bring 100+ Toggl paid licenses:

### **Payments**
**How much do I get paid?**
You get paid a 30% flat commission on the first payment each Toggl organization makes.
**What is considered an eligible payment for commission?**
An eligible payment for a commission is the first payment a Toggl organization makes. Please note that the organization should not be in an active sales process with us at the time of the tracking link click. We also reserve the right to contact you or the referral anytime to verify the referral source.
**Examples:**
- You bring traffic to Toggl, and a user creates a new account/ organization. Every new organization is eligible for a 30-day free Premium trial. They onboard 50 people during their trial and proceed to make a payment for 50 licenses on an annual Starter Plan. This is an eligible payment, and your payout will be 30% of what they paid.
- The same team decides to onboard 10 more people, so they make another payment. This is not an eligible payment, and you won’t get a commission.
- The same team decides to upgrade to the Premium Plan. This is not an eligible payment, and you won’t get a commission.
- An existing free Toggl user who has never been on a paid plan sees your blog post and follows your partner link to purchase a Toggl paid plan for their existing organization. This is an eligible payment, and your payout will be 30% of what they paid.
**How do I get paid?**
Commissions are paid out via **PayPal,** **Stripe**, or **Direct Deposit**. Before cashing out, make sure the correct payment provider is linked to your partner profile.
**Is there a minimum payout threshold?**
There is a minimum payout threshold of $5.
**When do I get paid?**
Once a commission is eligible for payment, it will be ready for withdrawal between the 8th and 13th of the following month.
**Do I receive additional commission if a Toggl customer upgrades to a higher-tiered plan in the future?**
If a Toggl customer upgrades to a higher-tiered plan in the future, you do not receive additional commission. We take into account only the first payment the Toggl organization makes.
**Can I use my own partner link to purchase a Toggl plan?**
No, you cannot use your own partner link to purchase a Toggl plan. If we suspect fraudulent behavior, we reserve the right to ban you from the partner program and from using any Toggl products.
### **Tracking and reporting**
**What happens if a sale that I referred gets refunded?**
If a sale gets refunded within 45 days, your commission will be canceled.
**How does Toggl track referrals?**
Toggl tracks referrals through your unique partner link using two methods: server-to-server (S2S) tracking through PartnerStack and cookies. This dual approach ensures accurate and reliable referral tracking.
**What is the lifespan of the referral cookie used to track my referrals?**
The lifespan of the referral cookie is 90 days.
**Are there reports regarding my account referrals?**
Yes, there are reports regarding your account referrals; you can find them in the partner platform dashboard.
**What happens if the person who is my referral visits Toggl later through the link of another partner?**
If the person who is your referral visits Toggl later through another partner's link, we attribute the sale to the last partner who sent the referral. We are using the last touch attribution model.
### **Promoting Toggl**
**Are there any marketing materials for me to promote Toggl?** Yes, you can find all the materials in your PartnerStack account.
**What promotion methods are accepted?**
We welcome a variety of promotion methods to offer you the flexibility to select the approach that best suits you. Most of our partners promote their tracking links via blogging, SEO, PPC (pay-per-click) advertising, email marketing, YouTube, WordPress, and more. In the case of a paid advertisement, you are not allowed to direct any users straight to your Toggl tracking link for competition reasons. You need to direct users to your own website/ blog/ video first. Make sure you read the [program’s terms and conditions](https://toggl.com/legal/affiliate/).

**What is a Toggl Ambassador?**
A Toggl Ambassador is our highest partner tier, with many custom benefits. To qualify, you must bring us 100+ Toggl licenses. Once you do, we will contact you to arrange the details.
