Where did it go? Toggl Track features and their Toggl equivalents
This is a lookup table for people who know Toggl Track and can’t find a familiar feature in Toggl. For each Toggl Track term it gives the Toggl name, where to find it in the app, and whether anything works differently. Use it to find your way around quickly, and to spot the two names that mean different things in each product.
Toggl keeps the same account, the same Organization structure and most of the same names as Toggl Track, but a few things have moved or been renamed. Find the Toggl Track term in the first column below. For example, the Detailed report is the Time logs report and Workspace settings is Admin Settings. (In the app, Toggl is also called Toggl 2.0 in some places; they are the same product.)
To get back to Toggl Track from Toggl, click the Track icon in the app’s product switcher. If you migrated over, click your Profile icon in the bottom left corner > Settings → Preferences → Toggl upgrade -> Switch back to Toggl Track)
Two names that mean something different
- Timeline. In Toggl Track, the Timeline feature records the apps and websites you used on your computer. In Toggl, that is called My activity (desktop app only, under Track in the sidebar). The Timeline page in Toggl, under Plan, is a different thing: a visual plan of who is working on what and whether your team has capacity. See Activity Timeline and Timeline View.
- Favorites. In Toggl Track, Favorites are saved time entries you start with one click. In Toggl, Favorites is a sidebar section that holds your pinned projects and pinned saved views.

Common questions
Do I need a new account?
No. You sign in to Toggl with your existing Toggl Track account.
Why is my data not in Toggl?
Your data doesn’t appear in Toggl by itself. An admin has to import it, or turn on live sync. See Bring your data into Toggl.
What happens to my plan?
Paid Toggl Track organizations get the equivalent Toggl plan and licensed seats at no extra charge while the Toggl Track subscription is active. See the Toggl FAQ for Toggl Track users.
